TW-1 TONEWRACK
There are a few iconic valve guitar amps that we at Mozztronics adore. Apart from the british 800 series amps, a “59* model, the May amp, and an amp named after a fruit, amongst others. We have named this pedal the “ToneWrack” in honour of its parentage,
This pedal is not a dirt pedal as such, it’s our emulation of this classic amp. Low to medium gain drive is where this pedal excels.
To do full justice to the original amps, and to get the maximum in tone versatility we included the full 3 knob tone stack in this pedal. A single tone control, or just a bass & treble control wasn’t going to cut it with this pedal.
GAIN controls the amount of gain from the first stage.
BASS, MID and TREBLE are a classic 3 knob tone stack as found in the original amp.
VOLUME adjusts the overall volume out of the pedal.
This is great for crunch rhythm tones, and gives nice drive sounds when driven hard from another pedal earlier in the signal chain. We suggest using the TW-1 last in the signal chain, setting the TW-1 for crunch rhythm, but there are no hard and fast rules.
Experiment with the order of your effects to find what you like. Try turning the gain up and using the pedal earlier in the pedal chain.
An external DC power supply must be used with the Mozztronics Tone Wrack TW-1 effects pedal. Mozztronicst recommend the use of a regulated supply, with a voltage between 9VDC and 12VDC. The common 9VDC Boss styie centre negative 2. 1mm DC plugs for the power connection.
Mozztronics want to make their contribution to a greener world by keeping 9V batteries out of landfill. For this reason Mozztronics pedals do NOT have space inside for a 9V battery. If you do not already have a suitable power supply such as a Boss wall-wart, One Spot, PP2 etc we can supply a Mozztronics PS-2 power supply with your order for an additional $26. Please include a note with your order if you wish to add a power supply.
