BP-360 BASS PREAMP & DI
The BP-360 is based on the preamp circuit from a classic bass amp from the 1960’s (Acoustic 360 bass amp as used by Led Zeppelin, Jaco Pastorius & Larry Graham among others), we added our own touches, to enhance versatility, and included a DI out.
The actual Acoustic 360 amp had a built in fuzz, but there would have been too many controls to fit the whole amp circuit neatly inside a pedal, so we split the fuzz circuit off as a separate pedal with its own eq, the FZ-360. Combine the FZ-360 and BP-360 to get our version of this classic amp.
- VOL is the master volume control.
- We included the original preamp’s EQ to perfectly dial in the sound of your bass. BASS 30Hz. MID switchable 380Hz, 550Hz, 1.0kHz, 1.9kHz, 3.5kHz, TREBLE 4kHz
- We included the preamps BRIGHT switch and we added a DI out with an Earth Lift switch, and an internal switch allowing you to select the function of the footswitch, BYPASS or MUTE.
While this circuit originally came from a bass amp, and while it is simply magnificent on bass, it sings on clean guitar direct to desk (funk anyone ?) and is superb on acoustic guitar adding a sparkle and jangle while making the sterile sounding piezo sound more natural . The 3 band EQ with semi-parametric mids lets you tone-sculpt your sound precisely.
Mozztronics uses the industry standard Boss style 2.1mm center negative 9V DC socket for the power supply connection.
