McCaffrey Audio – Run Rabbit Run Vibrato Chorus Rotary Guitar Pedal
The Run Rabbit Run Vibe (RRR) was developed over a two year period. Being vibe fanatics ourselves over the years, we set to recreate the classic Uni-Vibe™ sounds and rotary speaker effects with a modern twist. The Run Rabbit Run is a four stage phaser, but unlike the original Uni-Vibe™, it has each stage isolated with its own light source for a full sounding swirl. In the “normal” mode, you can easily switch between the chorus and vibrato settings with the tap of a footswitch.
The classic controls of DEPTH (wet signal), SPEED (rate), and a footswitch to select between VIBRATO and CHORUS are just the beginning of this pedal’s new and utilitarian design. Added and unique features include the CRAZY (doubles the rate of the modulation) footswitch to go between normal operations to ring mod/octave/synth features. The THUMP (three-way toggle switch) allows the musician to add low end response when turning down the DEPTH knob. The SPEED knob was made to be accessible with your foot quickly during live performances with the positioning and oversized knob.
The Run Rabbit Run Vibe is made for anyone that wants a highly functional vibe style pedal, in their rig, that is much more than a one-trick pony. The Run Rabbit Run Vibe is equally suited for squeezing out those lush, warm, vintage vibe tones as it is at producing the more obscure, but equally pleasing modern tones.
Increases the amount of the effected signal. Increase for a lush sweep on chorus or vibrato and in the “crazy” mode increase for a much more pronounced ring mod/octave effect. Decreasing will get you into “rotary speaker” territory while in the chorus or vibrato mode. The DEPTH knob works in conjunction with the ‘THUMP’ three way toggle switch.
Increases the rate both in “normal” mode and “crazy” mode. This knob works like a traditional speed knob much like other Uni-Vibe™ style pedals. One of the unique characteristics of the Run Rabbit Run is the “tuning” of the SPEED knob when in the “crazy” mode. For example, hit an open E chord on your instrument and “tune” the speed of the effect to that key of ‘E.’
Swooping vibrato recreates the “wobble” of some of the most sought after vintage units that set the standard for this effect. Much like the bend of a whammy bar on a guitar this covers all the bases.
Lush, swirling, “whoosh” of the liquid type chorus that we have grown to love from Vibe style pedals but with a twist. Chorus slow and sweet, rotating speakers, or ring modulator/octave settings at your fingertips or feet.
A three way switch that allows you to add more low end and fullness when decreasing the depth of the effect. Also, use the THUMP switch for adding low end to different settings while in the “crazy” mode.
Engaging the CRAZY switch will double the rate of the effect. We recommend that you decrease the DEPTH knob and hit an open chord and then “tune” the SPEED knob to that key. Doing so will allow octave up and sub-octave type effects.
Indicates the selected effect (Vibrato/Chorus) along with a rate LED to show the speed of the effect, even when in bypass mode.
