BP-1001 BASS PREAMP/DI
The BP-1001 is based on the preamp circuit from a classic bass amp from the 1970’s (GK 1001RB bass amp), we added our own touches, to enhance versatility, and included a DI out.
The preamps in the 400RB, 800RB and 1001RB were virtually identical. Later 800RB models had a variable contour and the 1001RB added a jfet input discrete op amp stage.
VOL is the master volume control.
We included the original preamp’s EQ to perfectly dial in the sound of your bass.
BASS 60Hz. LO MID 250Hz, HI MID 1.0kHz, TREBLE 7kHz.
CONTOUR is a variable MID SCOOP at 500Hz
PRESENCE is a treble boost at 10kHz.
We included the PRESENCE control as a switch and we added a DI out with an Earth Lift switch, and an internal switch allowing you to select the function of the footswitch, BYPASS or MUTE.
Mozztronics uses the industry standard Boss style 2.1mm center negative 9V DC socket for the power supply connection.
